Kylian Mbappe proves he is bigger than the club and Nasser Al Khaleifi
Paris Saint Germain striker, Kylian Mbappe and the club's president, Nasser Al Khelaifi have been at loggerheads since the end of June and the beginning of July with the striker refusing to extend his current contract which runs to the end of next year's summer. This occurrence of events prompted the club to bench the striker and keep him off from the first team training and telling him that he will not feature in any of the team's matches for the rest of the campaign. The club has seen several high-profile players like Leonel Messi depart the club for MLS club, Inter Miami. Others like Marco Veratti are poised to leave the club too. Neymar Junior is prone to injuries and the club's president is willing to listen to offers for the Brazilian attacker. The departure of the two former Barcelona players means that Luis Enrique will only be remaining with Mbappe who is the best attacker in Ligue 1 for the previous four seasons. So the retention of French international was seen as the best decision for Parisians this season.Last month after the failed negotiations between the two sides, the PSG president learned that the French man has a secret agreement with the Spanish football powerhouse, Real Madrid where the two will have an engagement next summer where Mbappe will join for free after the end of his current contract with the club. Psg therefore decided to cut their relationship with the striker by distancing him away from the regular club's activities such as training with the first team and playing during international friendly games. The opening game of the season last Friday against Lorient was a huge upset for Luis Enrique's side who were humiliated to a goalless draw at home. This turned out to be noticed that the club needed Mbappe more than they taught it could and this forced the club to beg Mbappe back into the team as internal discussions continue.
