Lyria cooed gently at the tiny babe in her arms. She rocked gently, her arms moving fluidly up and down to calm the pup, who gurgled lightly. Her eyes were the beautiful light blue of her father, her hair the chestnut color of Lyria’s family. Across the room another young pup slept soundly in a bassinet. Lyria approached the bassinet.
