After his mate is forced to give up her Alpha title to him, Blake Heart has to deal with the repercussions of her unfair treatment. He and his mate Charlie are doing their best to work through their problems, but each having one more fated mate, and each other's other fated mate as their chosen mate as well is causing a few problems. Blake can't seem to get over Charlie Marking Damien before him, and Charlie still has issues trusting him.
"Why would you do that to me?" I snapped at her, trying to keep my wolf, who was howling in pain, from making his way to the surface.
"Do what to you?" she demanded, nearly snarling, though I could tell how hard she was working to keep her wolf under control. "You already marked Savannah. Why is it not okay for me to mark Damien?"
"I already marked you!" I yelled, feeling my nails begin to turn into claws, despite knowing what a mistake that was.
She placed her hand over the mark, tears pricking her eyes. "I can't believe you're even comparing the two."
"Charlie, I-," I began as I took a step towards her.
She shook her head, taking a step back. "I'm, I'm gonna go. I'll see you at the Meeting Hall later."
