"Savage Heart, Soft Love"
READING AGE 18+
The city of Crestfall belonged to **Elian Carter**.
He was the most feared man in the country — leader of the biggest mafia syndicate, ruthless, cold, and savage. At only 19 years old, he had killed more men than he could count. His heart was made of ice; he felt no mercy, no kindness, no love. To him, people were either tools or enemies. He wore sharp black suits, carried deadly weapons, and walked with a presence that made even grown men shake and run away. His eyes were cold grey, empty and terrifying — until the day he saw **Kai Anderson**.
It was late afternoon, the sun beginning to set, painting the sky in dark orange and purple. Elian was walking down the busy main street, surrounded by his big, scary bodyguards. He had just finished “taking care” of a traitor — blood still fresh on his knuckles hidden inside his pocket. He was angry, bored, and ready to go home to his empty mansion.
People moved aside instantly as he walked, heads down, terrified to even glance at him. Everyone knew: **Look at Elian Carter, and you die.**
Then… from the opposite direction… came *him*.
**Kai Anderson** was walking slowly down the pavement, carrying a paper bag full of bread and fruits. He had soft messy brown hair, big warm honey-colored eyes, and a cute, round, innocent face that looked like it was carved from sunshine. He was smiling gently, waving happily at an old lady, stopping for a second to pet a stray dog passing by. He was friendly to *everyone* — strangers, animals, anyone.
But Kai hated fighting. He hated loud voices. He hated violence. If he saw an argument from far away, he would cross the road just to avoid it. He was pure, soft, and so easily scared.
Kai looked up… and his eyes met Elian’s.
Time stopped.
Kai froze for just one second. He saw the tall, dangerous boy walking toward him — the cold eyes, the dark aura, the bloodlust hidden behind that beautiful face. Kai felt a cold shiver run through his whole body. His heart skipped a beat — *not from attraction, but from pure fear*.
*Who is he?* Kai thought, trembling slightly. *He looks… terrifying. Like a monster.*
Kai quickly looked down, eyes wide and scared. He stepped carefully to his right, keeping his head low, walking straight past Elian… **without saying a single word, without touching, without stopping.**
He just walked away, continuing on his path, getting further and further away.
But Elian stood still.
His bodyguards stopped too, confused, looking at their boss. They had never seen Elian Carter freeze like this before. They had never seen him stare at someone with *that* look in his eyes.
Elian turned slowly on his heel, watching Kai’s small, soft figure walking away, getting smaller in the distance.
His cold grey eyes burned with something dark, dangerous, and obsessive. His heart — which had never beaten fast for anything — was pounding hard, wild, and loud in his chest.
*What is this?* Elian thought, rage and confusion mixing inside him. *Who is he? Why does he look like that? So soft… so pure… so scared…*
Elian’s hands clenched into fists. He felt a savage, wild need rise inside him — a need to run after that boy, grab him, lock him up, make sure no one else ever saw him, ever touched him, ever even *looked* at him.
“He is mine,” Elian whispered darkly, low enough that only he heard. “Whatever it takes… whoever stands in my way… I will have him. That soft, scared little boy… belongs to me. And I will kill anyone… *anyone*… who tries to keep him away.”
He watched until Kai turned the corner and disappeared completely.
Elian turned back to his men, his face cold again, but his eyes burning with new, deadly purpose.
“Find out who he is,” Elian commanded, his voice sharp and terrifying. “His name, his address, his school, his friends… *everything*. I want to know every single thing about him. And if anyone… *anyone*… bothers him, touches him, or even speaks to him… kill them. Slowly.”
His men nodded, terrified, and hurried to obey.
Elian started walking again — but now, his mind was not on business, not on killing, not on power.
His mind was only on **Kai Anderson** — the cute, scared boy who walked past him, unaware that he had just caught the eye of the most dangerous man alive.
And that man… would burn the whole city down… just to make him his.
