Slowly, I reached for the seal and peeled it off, trying to still my thudding heart. In no time, the seal came off and reached inside the envelope to pull out the document inside there. I frowned when it was just a scrap of paper.
“What’s this?” I queried warily.
“Read the name on the paper,” Tom commanded silently again.
I turned the paper and the words AUSTIN MILLER stared back at me. What is my fiancée name doing in a scrap of paper?
Trying not to panic I read slowly “Austin Miller. This is the name of my fiancée,” I tried to laugh.
Tom’s gaze became dark as he stared steadily at me, my heart was beating erratically now.
Oh God…please No… I prayed silently.
“That is the name of the man, WHO KILLED YOUR FATHER,” Tom broke the silence.
