I caught my mate sleeping with another on my eighteenth birthday. Two years ago we used to be close but something happened and he began to avoid me like the plague. Two years ago was a bad time for me as I had cancer. I am now in remission and I am enjoying life for the first time. Lucas my mate has been staying away from women since he discovered I was his mate but I am having a difficult time trusting him. I want to and the longer I am away from him the stronger the pull of the mate bond. Strange that I feel it even though I am human. My sister thinks I should trust Lucas after all he is her gamma.
