Eleanor has lived under her family’s thumb for years. She quietly adhered to all their strict rules hoping one day they would acknowledge her efforts. Instead, she was given an unwanted engagement to a harsh and domineering Arthur Goodwell. Words, she could endure but not the constant beatings and physical torture. Lacking any sympathy from her family she makes her own plans for escape because there is something everyone seemed to have forgotten: she is a runner.
Launching an elaborate plan she manages to escape; however her car breaks down on the side of the highway leaving her stranded. Unsure of her next step she is rescued by an unlikely pair of bikers who are only too happy to escort her to her safe haven: Serenity, Ohio. Her new home is filled with surprises, not the least of which is the local MC: the Hell Hounds, and in particular one of the Club’s enforcers: Mad Dog.
Caine grew up in the Club and earned himself quite the reputation among the Brothers and club girls alike. He is fairly harmless until the leash is taken off. This was the life he chose and never saw a reason to change until he meets the shy and stunning Eleanor. Much to his surprise, her gently nature tames his restless urges and scars of her secret past call out to his own.
Can two wandering, wounded souls heal each other or will the darkness of their combined pasts tear everything they care about apart?
