Thrysia Jimenez, a senior in high school, despises fairytales. Unfortunately, she has been chosen to direct a stage play for a school event. Despite her disdain for the topic, she is determined to earn high grades, so declining the task is not an option.
While borrowing a book from the old librarian for the play, Thrysia was asked a series of unrelated questions that struck her as suspicious. The book she borrowed was unique and heavy, catching her attention.
When she got home, she decided to scan the book, but to her surprise, she found that it was completely blank—other than the title on the cover.
That wasn’t all; moments later, she was suddenly transported inside the book.
She found herself in a fairytale-like realm, complete with castles, princes and princesses, queens and kings, and knights in shining armor—everything she loathed.
"Play the role, Thrysia," a voice echoed. "You have two choices: you can end the story with a happy ending, but that will have regretful consequences for the outside world, or you can choose a tragic ending to save what has been traded for your happiness. The pages are limited, and the writing is permanent. Be mindful."
