The drumming of her heart was deafening in her ears, her eyes wide and awake as she cautiously looked at her surroundings. There was nothing in her immediate area that could bring her danger. But it did not take the fact she is indeed in a threatening situation.
When did her monotonous life become like this? Paranoid and crazy as she is now, imagining that the whole world is against her and is conspiring to kill her as it deems fit. Perhaps she is right on her judgement or just plain mad. But she knows she cannot stay here anymore.
Anytime now, another game of survival will run. And like every time it happens, she doesn't know if she will live for another day to hope and wish she will be released from his suffocating quagmire.
