Chapter 26: Guards up

Note: Aila is a character full of contradictions. She is confused on most things she feels and thinks, but she thinks that she is particularly normal compared to some people. Thus folks, please don't bash my character for being too inconsistent at times. Other than that, she is also quite an unreliable narrator on what is happening in her life, given the small insight that I allowed my other characters tell the story, you'll see how the world is outside to her preconceived ideas and understanding of it.
