I took a shower while Liam was out and changed into comfortable clothes. After my shower, I went to the kitchen to help mom prepare our dinner. She looked up when I entered and smiled.
" How's my dear Sophie? Did she eat the porridge?" My mom asked.
" Yeah, she did, mom, and she's okay for now. Her temperature went down, and she went back to sleep right after taking the medicine Liam gave her." I told her while cutting the vegetables. Tonight we'll have roast beef and stir-fried veggies.
" How are you, sweetheart? I know you are struggling to be near Liam again." My mom looked at me with sad concerned eyes.
" I'm okay, mom. It's funny how a person can break your heart, and you can still love them. Nothing hurts more than watching him love another girl." I told her honestly……
