Phoenix High

Fated to Mate 2414 words 2022-09-01 17:58:01

With the full moon casting its light over the cemetery, a place considered a holy ground by the witches, one could walk past it and not hear a single sound coming from it, as it should be. No one made a sound as they all gathered around at the middle of the cemetery, werewolves and witches alike. All that could be heard now were little sobs being muffled through gags. Everyone present strived to see the ones responsible for the prophecies that had been keeping them all on their toes.

Laid out in the middle of the gathered creatures was the wolf and the witch, tied and gagged. Creatures who their only crime was to fall in love, were now minutes away from being killed, all in the name of ‘sacrificing the few for the many’.

They both brought their gaze to one another having been placed side by side on the floor. Words were not needed, their eyes said it all. They stared at each other with so much love and affection that nothing else around them mattered anymore, nothing in the world but the two of them.

Seeing tears roll down the eyes of the love of his life, his heart broke. He shook his head gently at her just before they began hearing the witches chant spells that they couldn’t hear clearly. The witch could tell what was happening, they were marking them and laying a curse on them.

Using her tongue to force the gag out of her mouth, she whispered to him, “I will find you, and we’ll be together forever and no one would be able to split us apart”

With those words she smiled lovingly and warmly at him right before they felt the burning pain on their chest. They couldn’t help their screams from coming out. Their cries of pain ringing through the cemetery and echoing into the night.

(Present Day}

Arya jumped awake, startled by the loud and continuous ringing of the alarm clock vibrating on the night stand. She glanced at its direction and immediately frowned. She hit the clock harder than she was supposed to and for a second thought she had broken it when it stopped ringing and vibrating instantly. Groaning with frustration, she dropped back down on the bed, and pulled the pillow over her face, screaming into it. Hearing clatters and footsteps from downstairs, she knew that was her mom, already up and giddy, ready to set things all up and drive her to her new hell. And by hell, she meant her new school, Phoenix High.

If it was her first time going to a supernatural school, she would have been all excited but this was her third school in the last year and it’s all pretty boring and the same to her now. With her having to make new friends all over again and start adapting to a new system, it was a living hell, her own personal hell. It didn’t help knowing Phoenix High was one of the best supernatural schools ever created, it just meant they have higher standards and all. “Aryaaaaa!! You better be ready by the time I’m done down here” she heard her mom call from downstairs.

With a loud grunt, she forced herself up from the bed and stumbled groggily to where her dressing mirror was. As a witch you would think she’d have the perfect hair, one that doesn’t get messy but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

She tried as much as possible to straighten her slightly tangled matte black hair. At least she was thankful she got such dark hair, although she took that from her mom amongst other things, such as her sugar grey eyes which got a bit darker whenever she was angry. Being 5”5, she was thankful for her hourglass figure, the kind of body which teens would call slim thick nowadays. A body that complimented her height. The perfect body she could ask for at 17 going to 18 in a few days. She threw on a dark ripped skinny jean and a crop top hoodie before exiting her room.

Putting the last of her suitcases into the backseat, they were heading to her new personal hell as she likes to call it. It was a one hour drive just out of town. The ride so far was quiet, each keeping to their thoughts. She stole glances at her mom who was so focused on the road ahead, although she knew it was to avoid talking to her.

Feeling guilty about the whole thing, Arya wanted to apologize without actually giving up her stance about her new school. “Look, I know you think this is all unfair to you, having to move and change school over and over again, but none of this is my fault either” Her mother explained, her eyes welled up with tears.

Seeing the state her mother was in broke her heart and she felt pity and sympathy toward the lady. “You don’t have to like it…we just have to go through it for the now and come out unscathed. Then our lives would much much better. I promise”

“Yeah…” Arya muttered, “I’ve heard you mom. I’m sorry about how I reacted. I mean how different can the school really be from my old ones? And how much can really change?” she shrugged

“Yeah right” Her mom laughed.

Few more minutes of silence and reflection, they finally arrived at the front gate of the school. Her mother drove to a stop in front of the hostel building where a lady was patiently waiting for them. She killed the engine and alighted from the vehicle with Arya. “Hi! I'm Miss Grainger, I'm the house porter and house guardian. It's nice to finally meet you Arya" She greeted

“Wait you know my name?" Arya asked with surprise written on her face

“It's my job to know the names of the female students under my care" She smiled warmly at her. “Now let's get your bags and get you settled in"

They joined in and picked up the rest, following the porter's lead into the building. It was a rather large tower with stairs all over, leading to different corners of the hostel. It had a vintage interior, pointing out the fact that it is indeed an old school.

“This is the B wing" She announced as they walked down, until she got to the fourth room on the right. “And this is your new room"

They walked into the spacious room. It had beds and closets on both sides of the room and the one on the right was already occupied. The bed was a bit messy and the closet was filled with clothes and other girly things.

“Its two to a room. You have a roommate already, her name is Blair, she'd be in shortly" Miss Grainger explained. “This is your side of the room" She pointed to the left side. “You have your closet and everything you need, anything that isn't here is what you have to bring from home. You both share a single bathroom which is through that door... And that's that for now. I'm sure Ms Croft, Blair, will happily tell you all you need to know"

“Well...I'm satisfied. I guess this is where I have to leave you" Her mom stated with a smile. You can tell she felt sad, leaving her daughter and going home alone.

“Thanks mom" Arya dropped her stuff and hugged her tightly. She too was gonna miss her.

They bade each other farewell and with that, Arya watched her mom disappear with the porter, leaving her there all by herself.

Arya heaved a deep sigh, looking around, before dragging her suitcases and luggages to the closet. She was impressed with the size of it. Unlocking her suitcases, she proceeded in filling the closet with her stuff and making her side of the room comfortable and properly arranged to her taste. After half an hour of arranging, she was finally done. She stood upright and let out a sigh. Now all she needed to do was to bath and lay down.

About taking off her hoodie, she heard footsteps fast approaching from the corridor. She kept her hoodie on, turned to see who it was and a blonde girl burst into the room, grinning and looking all giddy. Just a few seconds of staring, Arya had taken notes of all her features. She had wavy blonde hair, same height as herself but probably a few inches taller. The girl wasn't as curvy as she was but she was definitely blessed with bigger boobs than hers. Her marble gray eyes were shinning with excitement.

“You must be my new roommate!" She shrieked, rushing toward her. Arya was taken back when she was pulled into a tight hug. “I'm Blair... Welcome Arya. I found out your name from Miss Grainger. She's a gossiper, that one" Blair blurted out, pulling out of the hug.

“Nice to meet you" Arya flashed her a smile. At least now she knows her roommate is the merry type and not the keep to herself type.

“Come. I have to give you a tour and show you everything!"

“But I haven't taken my bath yet, I'm all sweaty" Arya argued

“There will be time for all that" She grabbed Arya's wrist and pulled her along as she danced out of the room.

They exited through the way they had come in and soon they were outside. Blair wasn't kidding when she said everything. She had shown her the Cafeteria hall, the game rooms, the sparring hall for the wolves. She took her to the classrooms, giving her the tour and detail of each class. “So witches and wolves have classes in the same building?" She inquired

“Yeah, we pretty much do everything in the same building. Our dorm is shared with wolves. Some wolves and witches are paired in the same room. Although some hate the idea and switch with their people. The principal said, living together helps to create the harmony and oneness needed in the society" Blair explained.

“Sounds right... What happened here?" Arya asked, standing in front of a room which was destroyed with fire.

“Well that used to be the psych classroom. It was set on fire by a wolf, his name is Klaus"

He's a bit of a school rebel. He's undergoing suspension now though" Blair explained.

“Oh, I hope I won’t have an intersection with him! Now let's get back to the dorm. I need to take a long shower and then a good night sleep before starting the hectic day that awaits me tomorrow" She concluded and turned back to the direction they came from.

Letting out an audible moan, Arya could feel her hands trembling as it rested on the wall behind her. Her legs could barely hold her up. The electrifying feeling of his soft lips going up the lines of her neck to her ear, made her legs feeble. His hand finding its way inside her pant wasn't helping either. She felt a jolt up her spine as his other hand worked it's way up inside her clothes and grabbed her boob gently, his forefinger circling her n****e.

Her breathing became labored as his hands worked her body. She felt his lips leave her neck as her body begged it's return. She didn't suffer for long, she felt those soft lips enclose hers and then slowly parted it open.

She could no longer take it, her whole body tensed up and begged for more of his touch. But to her dismay, he withdrew his hands and his lips from her body totally.

Her eyes shot open and immediately fell on his baby blue eyes. Her body ached for his touch and she wanted more of him. He had an evil smirk on his lips as he stared at her without moving. “Please....take me" She begged.

He leaned in closer to her, grabbed her neck gently with his right hand, brought his lips closer to her ear and then whispered into her ear, “MINE"

Arya's eyes snapped open to see Blair standing over her by her bed, fully dressed.

“That kind of dream huh?" Blair asked with a knowing smile on her lips.

Arya sat up, wondering what kind of dream that was. She had never had a s*x dream before, nor a dream that intense. It was more disturbing because she didn't know who the guy was. She had never seen him before in her life. She would definitely have remembered if she had seeing how hot he was. If she had a fantasy, he would definitely pass for the guy. His image was now all glued to her head.

“You probably should get ready" Blair's voice broke through her reverie.

She rubbed her eyes as she glanced at the clock on her night stand.

“s**t!!!" She exclaimed, jumping up to her feet. Her first class was starting in a few minutes and she hadn't taken her bath yet.

“I'm late. Why the hell didn't you wake me up?" She questioned, picking up her items from her stand by the closet.

“You looked so peaceful sleeping and was enjoying whatever it is you were dreaming about that I didn't want to be the one that ruined it" Blair winked at her.

Arya groaned with frustration before running into the bathroom. She rushed through her morning routine so fast that she may have skipped through some.

They rushed out of the room, making their way to the classroom building which was two buildings from theirs. Arya glanced back at Blair who was trying to keep up and before she could turn to keep her eyes on the road, she bumped into someone and her books came crashing down.

“Damn it!" She cursed, bending down to pick them up. A hand came down with her and picked up one of the books.

She stood up and looked at who she had bumped into and her heart stopped.

Staring back at her with those baby blue eyes was the mystery guy from her dream.
