My mate continued to squirm.
"Too... hot.." Emilia mumbled out as she started to kick the blanket.
I flung the blanket all of us, and yanked her leggings down until they're off. That seemed to do it, because Emilia just snuggled against me again. A beautiful sleepy smile spread across her pouty lips.

Emilia has been sleeping for a few hours now. I just can't seem to fall asleep myself. I'm not sure if it was the nap I had earlier, or if my mind is just running nonstop. All I keep thinking about is every my mate has endured her whole life.
How far does Emilia's trauma run? Will I ever be able to fix her? To help her get back to some kind of normalcy? Will she regret being my mate when she finds out how much everyone really hates Morningstar's?
