After everyone entered Keyport Haven, Alex split up with Maxie’s group and went to live in an apartment complex that wasn’t too far away from where they were staying. For some reason, Maxie was still sticking with the family that he had saved at Diane’s insistence.
It seemed as though the young lady had developed a bit of attachment towards Maxie thanks to their constant run-ins with death.
For the next few days, Alex watched the situation of the camp and saw how society was running now that the end of the world as humanity knew it had practically arrived.
Most of the able-bodied men would enlist for the military’s training course while some of the women would try their hand at it as well. There were others, however, that played a different part, like being gardeners, farmers, or ……
