Lydia tried to picture herself for a moment, as an immortal lich Queen, presiding over a horde of thralls all of whom were just dying - or had died - to do her bidding. Haha, even her mother would have groaned at a pun like that.

Not immoral, mind you - though the imagery her brain produced had that evil mistress of the night feel. But that was just her aesthetic; surface level - not what was underneath. Yeah, what was underneath was a bit of a bitchy, mean girl - but still! She wasn’t evil. She might be a spoiled only child, but she wasn’t a brat.

Still… was there even such a thing as moral - or ethical - necromancy?

“Ethical necromancy.” the words spilled from her lips as soon as the thought sprang into her mind. “I want to learn how to use necromancy for good, and in ways that maybe don’t ……
