Carrie hit send on the message after vacillating for several minutes over how bad of an idea this was. In the end, she couldn’t help herself. Her better sense tried its best to warn her that this was a risky move, but there was just something about the way that the night concierge spoke to her that made her think reaching out to him would be worth the risk.
Her message had been innocent enough. She’d just asked if he’d tried the shrimp scampi, and if it was something he would recommend. She could have gone with something flirtier, but that would be super weird - even for her. She’d never even seen the concierge’s face, but his voice had conjured up some pretty vivid images in her mind of a handsome older man.
