chapter - 27
"You know I was scared. Very scared," Susan said from behind, still holding onto Alex's jacket, "If you had left me there... I ca... I can't imagine what they would have done to me," tears began to form in her beautiful eyes. Alex turned around when he felt her voice get hoarse.
"You know, I... I..." Susan couldn't complete her sentence.
"Shh... Shhshh... It's alright. Nothing happened, right? Everything is fine..." Alex embraced Susan and consoled her, gently rubbing her back.
Susan stayed in his arms for a couple of minutes before Alex pushed her away slowly and cupped her face in his palms, "You are safe now, and I am here, fit and fine," Alex said, looking into her sparkly eyes.
"Sniff! Sniff!" Susan nodded, and rubbing her eyes, she looked at Alex. But when she looked ……
