Prologue

"I love you." He told me emotionally as he held me tightly in his arms.

I cried even harder. How could he say that when all he showed to me was coldness and rudeness? He was such a beast. An arrogant beast. He didn't even care.

I squirmed in his arms and tried to push him, but he was so strong. I punched and punched his chest and he finally let me go.

I faced him with tears running on my cheeks. "A-and why would I b-believe you? All you did was put me in danger. All you did was hurt me while I did the exact opposite of it. Is that h-how you love me? I'm freaking in l-love with you." I sobbed.

Had I just blurted it out?

Me and this careless mouth.

Pain, hurt, and regret was written all over his face. I saw it in his eyes, but I didn't want to believe it. It couldn't be. I just probably imagined things.

He stared at me with his lonely eyes. "No. Of course not." But later on, his eyes widen in shock as if he realized something. I shouldn't have said it. "Wait. Did you just say...? D- Did you just say that you-you love me? Y-you love me?"

"I love you and I will do everything for to give a chance to prove it." Can I trust him? Trust is such a strong word. It is easy to type and say, but it's hard to give.

He moved closer to me and held my hand as he wiped my tears with his thumb. "I still don't believe you." I told him as I sniffled. Do I doubt him? He sounded really truthful.

"I will prove it then." He said as he stared at me.

"Ho-" I didn't get to ask him how because suddenly, he leaned down and captured my lips in his.
