Okay… Noah touching Lily’s hair and then immediately freezing like he was the one emotionally compromised? Yeah. They’re both in trouble now. 😭This chapter was all about the shift between them becoming impossible to ignore anymore. The teasing is still there, the friends are still chaotic, but underneath all of it, things are getting real. Noah isn’t hiding his feelings as well as he used to, and Lily is starting to notice every tiny change in him.And that last scene?Noah asking her to walk with him after school wasn’t casual at all.He’s reaching the point where “almost” isn’t enough anymore.Jason and Ryan might actually survive this slow burn before the characters do.
