The sound of a crash, followed by a gasp of shock, yanked Kit out of his deep sleep. His eyes popped open, and with a groan, he rolled to the side. Unfortunately, he wasn't in his bed, and he ran out of cushions.

"Damn it." Kit ended up falling off the couch. "What the…?" Getting to his knees, Kit shook his head. His eyes lifted to a flustered Dara. Her cheeks flamed red, and her hands shook as she picked up broken mug pieces off the floor. What was her problem?
