After Ambrose came knocking on my door interrupting the best moment of my life, I asked Dax if he wanted to shower with me. I just wanted him close. Real close.
"I don't think showering together is a good idea." Dax said as he grabbed my thighs to make me drop my hold on him.
He's so warm I can feel it burning through my leggings.
"Why not?" I asked wiping his blood from the corner of my mouth.
Is he still mad at me? I thought we were getting somewhere. Sadness settled inside my heart once again.
"Hey, don't look like that." Dax said as he grabbed my face. "I just don't think we will be able to meet in the Alphas office in 20 minutes if we shower together."
"So, does that mean you're not mad at me anymore?" I asked softly.
Dax let go of my face, sat up, and ran a hand through his hair.
