Amelia did her best to get back to work after Isabel's outburst. She had hacking to do and she had bills to pay with very little money in her account.
She sighed as she stared at the screen.
Normally she could get lost in the lines of code she might have to write to hack into a system. Today she couldn't focus.
Maybe it was the pregnancy. She was hungry and hoped she could make it to the kitchen and back without getting too lost.
The house was a monster and she hadn't yet tamed it.
Avoiding Isabel would be priority number one, also.
When Amelia reached the kitchen, she glanced at the clock on the oven. It was later than she'd thought. It was time for dinner. She didn't see a chef or anyone making food going on. She also didn't know Alex's schedule. Should she call him? Not that would be stepping……
