Before December

Reads

Lydia Wild never planned to leave Los Angeles. But after losing her parents and little sister, seventeen-year-old Lydia is sent to England to live with the Henderson family, where everything feels unfamiliar, unwanted and temporary. She has one goal: survive the summer, keep everyone at a distance, and go home when December comes and she turns eighteen. Then she meets Theo Henderson. Arrogant, guarded and impossible to ignore, Theo is exactly the kind of person Lydia wants nothing to do with. Unfortunately, avoiding him proves harder than expected. Somewhere between arguments, late-night conversations and the secrets neither of them are ready to share, hatred turns into something far more complicated. But Theo is carrying a past of his own. The death of his best friend still hangs over him, and as old lies begin to unravel, Lydia finds herself pulled into a mystery that refuses to stay buried. All the while, December is getting closer. What once felt like Lydia’s escape now threatens to become the deadline neither of them wants to face. She must decide what home means now, whether she is ready to return to the life she left behind, and what happens when the boy she never meant to care about becomes the hardest person to leave. Because Lydia always knew she was leaving in December. She just never expected leaving to hurt this much.
