Once a wolf finds their fated mate, they grow stronger together. However, those who have not found their fated mate have a choice of choosing a chosen mate. The bond is not as strong as that of a destined mate, but it is still strong enough to be there. Sometimes, people cannot find their fated mates, so they decide to have a Chosen One. Having a chosen mate is rare, but not unheard of. Each person gets the wolf on their 16th birthday. However, the connection is only through mental links. The wolf and its human counterpart can talk to each other through their bond. However, the bond is not strong enough to change physically or find their fated mate. The wolves are part of them and have just been awoken. However, they still connect, and the wolves can still share their memories. Each wolf has its own personality and name. On the night of their 18th birthday, they can change into their wolf counter for the first time. They can also tell if their fated mate is close by or not. You can tell if the person in front of you is your fated mate or not through their eyes when the wolf inside both of them calls out to each other.
